Power Girl: Jana Iyer

When you are a mother, a wife and a female/Indian co-founder to a liquor brand in such a competitive landscape; Failure is Not an Option.  This is Jana’s mantra since co-founding her namesake tequila brand, FINO Tequila.  Jana took a chance in quitting her successful corporate job to creating a brand from scratch that looks to empower women.  As an immigrant from India, finding her American Dream was a must and let’s just say her Indian ancestors would be dead proud of her achievements.  Talk about crushing stereotypes and challenging the unconscious bias!

So we asked our Ambitious Power Girl a short Q&A:

Tell us about the #powerbag that you are featured in?

Jana:  Everything I use has to have style and functionality since I am a working mom and an entrepreneur. I like the modern look of this powerbag, yet it is very functional.  Functional meaning, I can wear this bag from day to night.  Perfect to take to that business meeting or to a special occasion.

How does this bag fit into your lifestyle?

Jana:  Space is so important.  Has to fit my beloved FINO bottles…duh!  But on a serious note, I do need space to fit samples of my tequila.

What is something unique that you carry in your bag?

Jana:  My FINO mini sample bottles...it works better than a business card…talk about making a statement!

If your Power Bag had superhero powers, what power would it have?

Jana:  To beat the Chicago traffic, hands down.
