Sheetal Patel, the founder, began her “Power Bag” line in 2011.  The handbags have since been featured on Zappos.com on their Emerging Designer platform, as well as, WWD MAGIC Launch Pad tradeshow.  The line has also been sold at the Trump International and Four   Seasons Hotel gift shop in Chicago. 

After taking a hiatus, Sheetal has come back with a bang to  empower women through wearing a statement bag.  To own it, love it and not give a damn what others think.  Sheetal began G.I.A. Luxe as a single mother in college.  She has challenged the unconscious bias, crushed stereotypes and now looks to empower the girls and women of tomorrow.

If Sheetal said she grew up sewing clothes for her dolls as well as herself, she would be lying. As a little girl, she had no clue what she wanted to be. Similar to Diane Von Furstenberg, who had no idea what she wanted to be; however, knew what woman she wanted to be. Sheetal remembers the days of growing up in North East London and watching The Clothes Show. At a young age, she already knew what type of woman she wanted to be: stylish and sassy with a pinch of sexiness and who dared to be unique for her own sense of style.
